GE Silicone II* W/D Supreme

2x STRETCH

With +/- 50 percent joint movement, W/D Supreme provides two times the joint movement of other top-selling silicone caulks for consumer applications. W/D Supreme can withstand extreme expansion or contraction that can occur with temperature fluctuations. Movement capability allows the caulk to move within the joint, helping to keep the caulk from tearing or pulling away from the substrate. This movement can cause degraded acrylic caulk to crack and crumble over time, leaving gaps for air and water to seep through. Those leaks can lead to water damage, mold growth, and higher energy bills -- all of which can translate into lost time (when the job has to be done again), lost energy, and lost money.

1 HR. RAIN-READY

By developing strength and adhesion quickly, W/D Supreme can be exposed to water in just 1 hour. When using most caulks, the project may have to be delayed or canceled if rain is in the forecast. In fact, some caulk requires up to 24 hours or longer before it can be exposed to water. Otherwise, the caulk may wash away, wasting time and money. A shorter waiting period increases convenience, speed, and efficiency.

100% silicone

WHY 100 PERCENT SILICONE?

Unlike acrylic, silicone is permanently:
  • Waterproof—Acrylic breaks down in water over time.
  • Flexible—Acrylic becomes less flexible and can even freeze at low temperatures, making it more likely to crack.
  • Shrink-proof—Acrylic shrinks as the caulk dries. This shrinking can cause cracks over time.
  • Crack-proof—Acrylic hardens, cracks, and crumbles over time when exposed to extreme heat and the sun's UV rays.

Don't Waste Time and Energy

Not all caulk is the same. Because silicone is permanently waterproof, flexible, and shrink-/crack-proof, unlike acrylic, it won't leave gaps or cracks for air and water to seep through over time. Those leaks can lead to water damage, mold growth, and higher energy bills—all of which can translate into your lost time (when you have to do the job again), lost energy, and lost money.
