To obtain long-lasting energy savings and protection from water leakage, you need a caulk such as Groov that won't deteriorate over time. Regardless of moisture, humidity, cold, heat, or sun, Groov will remain as waterproof, flexible, and durable as the day you first apply it. No freezing in cold temperatures or baking in the sun or heat like acrylic caulks. Frozen and baked acrylic caulk can mean shrinking and cracking, and a surface left unprotected. With Groov, the caulk will remain unchanged over time.
EASY TO APPLY AND PAINT LIKE ACRYLIC
Groov caulk is easy to apply and tool like acrylic, and it's paintable. The texture of Groov is smooth like acrylic's, without being sticky or stringy, making it easier to get a professional-looking finish. And, the texture makes it less difficult to keep caulk in the joint rather than on hands and surrounding surfaces, which creates the dreaded mess.

NOTE: Groov works well with most water-based acrylic paints. It"s not recommended with oil-based paints. If oil-based paints are used, apply an acrylic primer; test first in a small, inconspicuous area.

Meets Federal Specifications: TT-S-00230C, TT-S-001543A/ASTM C-920, Type-S, NS, Class 25
Performs and lasts like silicone: Cured caulk performs and lasts like silicone over the service temperature of
-30°F to 150°F. Cured caulk will not shrink, crack, or break down. Application above 40°F is recommended for best results.
One-hour rain-ready: Exposure to water possible in as little as one hour with maximum bead size of 3/16", temperature minimum 65°F, minimum humidity 50 percent. Otherwise, caulk should not be exposed to water for eight hours. Do not touch for 24 hours, unless applying paint (see below).
30-minute paint-ready: Caulk can be spray painted immediately, or brush painted and roller painted in as little as 30 minutes with maximum bead size of 3/16", temperature minimum 65°F, minimum humidity 50 percent. Otherwise, caulk should not be painted for three hours. Apply paint with reduced applicator pressure to avoid disturbing the caulk.
Applies in hot, cold, or wet weather: Unlike acrylic latex caulks, Groov caulk will not freeze, allowing application in below-freezing temperatures. Substrate must be clean and free of frost or ice. Ideal cure temperature is above 40°F.
